Hi .. I've worked on this problem for days and days and just can't seem to crack it. So I created a profile here to ask if someone else out there has an answer that might help.
I'm working on starting up my vw320. I have 2 but only one gets to revving up my 1600sw on boot so I'm working on that one. They've been in storage fora a while so had to have the cr2032 battery replaced. Normally this would involve starting up and hitting 'escape' on boot to enter the arcs prom. I've done this part before, however this time its different.
Now when I get to the 1st screen visible on boot the tests come up but keep scrolling by. The failed one being for sys clock of course. But it keeps running the tests and scrolling by constantly. Hitting escape before, during, and after doesn't effect it. I've tried many .. many times. So I don't think its a timing issue on that. But eel free to let me know if I just have to get really lucky.
At any rate Id like to know if anyone has seen this before and even better if you might have a workaround.
The only other thing Ive seen on this is a forum post mentioning that someone had luck booting and restarting without the cr2032 installed at all and that let them in somehow. I tried that as well and no joy.
