Hi all,

My o2 was really getting on my nerves! During general usage the plastics would start vibrating and causing some crazy resonance frequencies which continually got louder until I tapped the plastics in *just the right place* but then they'd start again! Putting a soft flannel under the o2 didn't seem to help.

I searched online for a similar subject, but found nothing. The only information I found about silencing an o2 were 1. changing the PSU fan (which I already did with a PABST) and 2. Putting in a quieter SCSI drive, which I had already done.

So - into the unknown for me!

I ordered some of this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BWDZZ8FW

It's soft material tape for wiring harnesses etc. Useful for general I.T. stuff. I then took the outer top plastic shell off the o2 (for those who don't know please see the o2 user guide, it has instructions for how to do this) I then carefully put this tape along all contact points on the shell.

Here are the photos:

And now my o2 doesn't buzz anymore! Happy days.
