Antispam behavior fixes

Greetings,

We've just deployed an nginx configuration change that should allow our spam filter to work correctly again. This was an oversight from our migration to on-prem: I hastily forgot to correctly preserve client IPs and never got around to fixing it until now.

Those of you who have gotten flagged posts for no reason should see that stop immediately. Those of you who were denied a signup due to banned IP issues should also see immediate resolution.

Xenforo has a native integration with the Akismet service, so we use that since it comes out of box. The rest is just butts-in-seats reviewing the queue

Ahh. Akismet is also used by WP... I have not been impressed. Something to consider IF you continue to have issues is StopForumSpam (which AFAICT is probably "free" for XF) and CleanTalk (the latter is what I use)
