I've been bit by nostalgia, and even though my direct SGI experience was from the Indy/Indigo2/Onyx days, it holds a very strong soft spot in my heart.
I'm looking for one of the later machines -- Tezro, Origin 350, maybe an Octane 2 -- in order to do some software porting to IRIX. I'd like to make an attempt at getting Firefox going -- I'm a former core mozilla/firefox dev, did the original Android port among other things. Certainly should be doable for IRIX though the last year or so versions require a rust compiler as well; porting rust would be a fun experiment as well (well, getting an llvm toolchain up and running first).
If anyone has a beefy development machine they'd be willing to sell, please let me know.
