Everyone probably knows about this already, but I will post it here as well!

I have recovered some of the old Nekochan content and made it available as The Nekonomicon. For now it is just the forums, but the old wiki contents (although I highly encourage you to copy over useful content to the IRIX.cc wiki) and gallery will also be available in time.

The original copy is available at: https://gainos.org/~elf/sgi/nekonomicon/ , however it is all static content and is available for download for self hosting or local usage so that it doesn't disappear in the future.

This is just a first pass "minimum viable" attempt; there are definitely some minor issues with it.

FYI, about four years ago before I retired I ran across this website http://www.irix7.com/ while looking for a pdf copy of an SGI manual. I got a burr up my butt and ended up copying each of the manuals on the website to a thumb drive, it took several months sitting around after work doing this as there are about 2400 manuals. I created a file for each manual with the title listed for the particular manual and then copied the pdf itself to that file. There may have been a faster way to do this if I were clever about writing a script to automate the process but I’m not that clever so I did it the old fashioned tedious way by hand. Also because I was using my company laptop I couldn’t dedicate it to this task full time. With sites like Nekochan and a Dutch website I used years ago to work on my SGI 540s and 320s suddenly going away I figured I’d make a copy of this treasure trove of documentation just in case.
If you would like a copy for reference I can copy the thumb drive and mail it to you. I would like to have asked the site administrators of IRIX7 about copying their material but I couldn’t find any info on who to contact.
