Hello everyone,

I'm trying to inventory my SGI Origin 3400 and I am having some trouble finding any documentation that links my part numbers to any meaningful information. For example, let's say we have a model number CMNC01, that has a part number of 024-1489-001 Rev A... surely there is a reference somewhere that catalogues the nomenclature of that part number and maybe gives a description, and perhaps differences between say, Rev A and Rev B, etc.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

~John

@jdhadwin this came to mind again for me and I wish I could give you a comprehensive answer, but unfortunately I have never seen such a thing. Maybe somebody else has?

The closest thing I know of was Dodoid's (not launched) IRIX One project where people would be encouraged to catalog parts and take pictures of them.

Many of the SGI resellers do have part numbers, e.g. the sub-pages at:
Of course it doesn't really give the detail you might be looking for.

But any attempt to catalog your own systems and post up part numbers with pictures here on the forums would be greatly appreciated!
