I was on my O2 on Friday and after a restart I started getting increasing numbers of parity errors on one of the drives in my O2. Does this generally point to imminent drive failure or a mainboard hardware issue?

I would think parity errors are either on the drive controller or the host SCSI controller, but unrelated to the drive platters/heads. With the O2 design and it occurring over a reboot, I suppose cabling can be ruled out (which would have been my first suspicion otherwise). Do you have another drive to try with it?
