The M1 Macs are pretty zippy indeed. Most of what I run on mine (DAW software and VST plugins) runs under Rosetta but still does quite well.

The way it is going now it won't be long before a computer the size of a Raspberry Pi is faster than my HP, new gaming rigs already destroy it. I thought about getting an M1 Mac Mini, maybe I should pick one up.
