Hi,
I'm trying to do a network installation on my Fuel and I'm having a PANIC after booting unix.IP35 over network:

Code:
>> bootp():i/ovl1/dist/miniroot/unix.IP35
Setting $netaddr to 10.0.0.2 (from server )

Restarting the machine...

When I try the other method using "Install System Software" from PROM, I end up with an exception:

Code:
Enter the name of the remote host: 10.0.0.1
Enter the remote directory: i/ovl1/dist

1)[Remote Directory] 2) Local CD-ROM
      *a) Remote directory i/ovl1/dist from server 10.0.0.1.

Enter 1-2 to select source type, a to select the source, <esc> to quit,
or <enter> to start:

A 000: *** Press ENTER to continue.
I'll be grateful for any suggestions what might be wrong. The machine works fine with 6.5.20 Irix installed on the drive. The system I'm trying to install is 6.5.30.
Many thanks.

Perhaps "setenv console d" in the command monitor? Others have been able to fix the TLB Refill Exception that way.

Take care,
John

Many thanks John, it sure did the trick. It seems that all previous machines had set "console" to "d" so I never had to deal with this problem until now.
