Hello fellow SGI'er :) My name is Eric Masson and I am the creator of MaXX Interactive Desktop on Linux. I would like to use this opportunity to say hi and introduce myself. I am glad to join your community and share my passion with you all. In also here to answer questions you may have on MaXX Desktop and I welcome feedback (of course).

We are currently working on version 2.1 (Xmas edition), a possible FreeBSD demo for x86_64 and other exciting software that we hope will get people excited.

In case you are curious about giving a try... Here are some useful links about installers, docs and our Slack.

Finally, here a quick screenshot of MaXX Desktop running in modern look and feel with anti-aliased fonts and utf-8 support. I have included both classic and modern gr_osview to showcase how we see the new integrated look for our new MaXX Monitor suite (based on Performance Co-Pilot). Remember this is still an early preview :)

Cheers

This is awesome. I love Motif in general and this sure beats CDE imho. It's great to be able to get a consistent UI across my various systems, and MAXX helps me achieve this on my modern *nix boxes.
