Cheap OEM sibling of the SGI O2-era keyboard: Compaq 120663-001

Hi there -

If you're feeling tired of paying high prices for second hand granite PS/2 keyboards that aren't even mechanical, I strongly suggest that you search eBay for the Compaq 120663-001 keyboard. That logo is easy enough to cover up with a custom SGI logo and doesn't look terrible with the OEM beige logitech mouse of the same era.

You can also find a lot of them under RT6856T (which is the NMB OEM model) - plenty of ones from DEC as well.

Good luck and hopefully there is enough to satisfy every SGI enthusiast out there wanting a nostalgia experience for a low price.

Wow, Never knew this. I figured the SGI keyboards were made by Logitech...but never knew of generic references. This is great info, thanks for posting it!
