Hi, i have a problem installing IRIX ver. 6.5.28 on my Octane 1. When doing >> boot -f dksc (1,1,8)sash64 the PROM says:

896+111704+16853+3848
Cannot load dksc(1,1,8)sash64.
Relocation failed.
Unable to execute dksc(1,1,8)sash64: execute format error
Unable to load dksc(1,1,8)sash64: execute format error

I'm using external HP DVD player and when doing ls it shows the directory listing wthout problems. These CDs i've used previously on my Tezro so i know they work. Please help!

Sanity check, your external drive is at ID 1,1?
What happens with
Code:
boot -f dksc(1,1,8)sash64 dksc(1,1,7)stand/fx.64 --x
Is your dvd drive set to 512byte sectors?

Yep, it's an HP 0950-3398 external SCSI DVD-ROM and has 2048/512 jumper switch and i've put it on 512 and still not working. It starts to read and print the values and then ends up with error. Strange, it worked on my Tezro...

Yep, termination is ok and i'm booting from Overlay 1. As i said, it's not the first time i've installed IRIX but i never had an error like this. I've seen a lot of people here suggest Booterizer but even i've checked the web page and manual i don't get how does it work.

I’d suggest burning another cd at minimal burn speed and see if it’s the disc.
Tried, doesn't work... tried Booterizer on my MacPro, VirtualBox gives error about Bluestacks (what Bluestacks?? It's not even mentioned on the Github Booterizer page LOL), tried Booterizer on Ubuntu... there is no VM in VirtualBox, all in all it's all utter rubbish, one more thing to try is this link http://techpubs.spinlocksolutions.com/irix/remote-irix-6.5-installation-from-linux.html
